As a seasoned real estate attorney, Brian Ponder has completed more than 10,000 closings in his career. When it’s time for your closing, he will bring his decades of experience to the closing table. At Ponder Law, we aspire to provide a streamlined, first-class experience as you go from being a house buyer to a homeowner.

Buying or Refinancing


  • Anyone who will be listed on the title or loan needs to join us at the closing table to sign documents.


  • Anyone signing documents needs to bring their government-issued photo identification (valid driver’s license or passport).


  • Any funds necessary for closing are to be wired to our office at least one day prior to closing. Always verify wiring instructions verbally with our office before sending your funds and follow up with us to confirm that we received your payment.

Selling


  • Anyone who is currently named on the title needs to join us at the closing table to sign documents.


  • Anyone signing documents needs to bring their government-issued photo identification (valid driver’s license or passport).


  • Please bring all keys and remote controls (garage door remote, gate remote, etc.) related to the property.

  • We will make a copy of your government-issued photo identification (valid driver’s license or passport).
  • The entire team (attorney, realtors, buyers, and sellers) will gather, and all of the closing documents will be explained to the buyers and sellers, who will then sign the documents.
  • The Ponder Law team will scan and send the signed closing documents to the lender for funding review, if applicable.
  • Once the lender completes the funding review, keys will be exchanged and checks will be distributed.
